It will be based on total inches of TROUT caught. So the more derbies you fish and the more trout you catch the better off you are! This will start at our January ice derby. Fee to enter is $10.00. It doesn’t matter when you pay your entry fee as you will not be entered until you do. There will be a book available at all derbies for anyone to review if they so choose. It is 100% pay out!!! The prize (s) will be paid out at our last derby of 2009, which is in October. There are a total of 6 derbies scheduled for 2009.
NOTICE TO MEMBERS PROPOSED BYLAW CHANGE:
Notice must be given to the membership so that this may be voted on at the Annual Membership meeting on March 7, 2009
Currently it states in the bylaws that both the President and Vice President “may serve no more then 3, 2-year terms consecutively in office” (See page 7 section 2 and section 3)
There has been a proposal put forth to remove that statement and allow both the President and Vice President to serve for also long as they so choose, unless they are voted out of office.
As it states in the bylaws to change such a law would require 2/3 (two-thirds) of the vote of the membership present and voting at such meeting. (See amendments to the bylaws on page 19 Article XVI)
Range News:
Members who use the range are asked to use “only paper targets” on the range. We are all aware of the situation that has occurred on “other” gun ranges and we want ours to stay safe. Make sure that you abide by all range rules as well as all gun rules and help keep our range safe. Members are also asked to please use the “call in before using the range” system again. For those who don’t know the club’s number it is (978) 597-8733.
Members are again reminded that they must also sign in once on the range.
